I am passionate about literature and an avid reader. Grahamstown/Makhanda has been my home for thirty years where I have had a long, satisfying career as a teacher. Although I have retired, learning in all its shapes and forms still fascinates me. I love researching and discovering what makes humans tick - their curiosities, interests and inspirations. I am no stranger to academia having worked at Rhodes University as a teacher educator, examiner and moderator. I have also had some experience in the NGO world of community development, specialising in early childhood development. Well versed in editing second language English (see my list of recent work), I have been editing academic theses and dissertations for some years. I have worked closely with academic editors who publish books and I have also worked with academics from around the world.
I have two post-graduate degrees in Education - a BEd(Hons) and an MEd from Rhodes University, and I am also a member of the Professional Editors Guild.
